ArborMotion’s Second Annual “Change Your Oil, Change Their Life” CampaignFor the second year ArborMotion is bringing back our “Change Your Oil, Change a Life” campaign supporting Washtenaw County SafeHouse Center’s mission to help put a stop to domestic violence and sexual assault in Washtenaw County. In 2008 ArborMotion’s oil change campaign raised over $10,000 for SafeHouse Center. This year, Castrol Oil has partnered with ArborMotion to continue this oil changing and life changing campaign. ArborMotion and Huron Valley Ambulance: 2009 Drive Thru Flu ClinicArborMotion is proud to be a sponsor of Huron Valley Ambulance’s second drive through flu shot clinic, a unique event to immunize as many adults as possible against the seasonal flu. The drive through clinic will be held on Saturday, October 10th from 9:00am to 3:00pm at HVA headquarters at 1200 State Circle in Ann Arbor. ArborMotion DONATES 300 OIL CHANGES TO SAFE HOUSE CENTERBeginning September 17, 2008 ArborMotion will be offering free oil change services to the first 300 customers who contribute $25.00 or more to Ann Arbor’s Safe House Center. Kicking off in conjunction with Safe House Center’s 3rd Annual Golf Outing at Lake Forest Golf Club, ArborMotion’s unique fundraising initiative is designed to support the services of Safe House Center and raise awareness of domestic violence and sexual assault in the greater community. ArborMotion Spotlight on Education Summers-Knoll SchoolAs part of ArborMotion’s ongoing dedication to education and perpetual learning, we like to spotlight the various learning facilities in our city. This month spotlights Summers-Knoll School which has the honor of being Ann Arbor’s first certified Michigan Green School. Tucked away on Manchester Road and nestled against County Farm Park, Summers-Knoll is a unique school dedicated to teaching its exceptional students in small class settings. ArborMotion Road Scholars: Our Movement Makes the DifferenceIt seems like an obvious piece of wisdom, but usually isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when you notice that "kind of low" tire, funny new grease spot in the garage, or irritating squeal at stoplights. These are, after all, minor annoyances that rank low on the importance scale relative to the other obligations that life throws at you. As a repair and maintenance facility we see all too often the result of ignoring or postponing the inevitable repair that accompany these initial nuisances. It’s not out of apathy that these pending catastrophes get pushed back it’s merely an after effect of the current hyper pace of life. Wouldn’t it be nice to have your own personal pit crew? |
